The Annual contestant meeting was held at Alumni Hall on the University of Alabama campus on September 28. Contestants in attendance heard from Mrs. Carol Wright, director of the Miss University of Alabama Scholarship Program, current Miss UA Ruby Tilghman and Tammy Jones, consultant for Miss UA.
